It doesn't matter how slow you go, so as long as you don't stop!

This has been my mantra for over 24 months now. When people ask me “How’s your coaching going on? Often, my response is “Slow!” This is my reality and I’ve learnt to accept it.

Over the last 2 years there have been a lot of updates on the personal and professional front; from starting with a maternity leave from a 10 hour a day job, to having a baby, to changing professions, to moving homes (different cities) and now to expecting another baby (hidden announcement alert 😜).

Naturally, my work took a back seat in my list of priorities.

We go through different life phases; sometimes we get tons of work done in a year and sometimes it's hard to get anything done in a year. Let’s not compare ourselves with our ‘old’ (read pre-pregnancy or from a different phase in life) and punish ourselves, rather let’s embrace the new normal and move forward – as slow or fast as we can!

The reason I say this is because, most of us ladies are born perfectionists. We either want it all or nothing. This attitude might lead to either giving up too soon or being too hard on yourself and getting burnt out.

Way too often we overestimate what we can do in 6 months and underestimate what we can achieve in the span of 5 years. Tighten your seat belts as this is a long-term game ladies!

Share it with a mom who needs to see this right now!

Give me a ‘👍🏼’ if you are facing a similar situation right now.
