Slowly Is The Fastest Way To Get To Where You Want To Be!

Updated: May 25, 2022

This quote spoke to straight to my heart! Here’s why 👇

Life was fast paced before kids and all my dreams made so much sense. Don’t get me wrong, motherhood is the MOST meaningful role I play in my of life. I love my kids, just the way you love yours. But, I always felt my worth & meaning to life came from my work and my contribution as a citizen. And I often find myself crushed between my wishlist and my duties! I feel I’m always racing against time. Are you in a similar journey?

The only way out is to honour our journey and embrace the new speed. Robert Frost nailed it when he said “The only way out is through!” So, then how do we balance feeling worthy and doing our duties? What prep-talk can we give ourselves to motivate ourselves to keep moving everyday? And more importantly, when will we get ALL that we desire & deserve?!

And most times closure to this uncertainty lies in assigning positive meanings to our new normal! What can you tell to yourself to calm down internally and keep moving forward? Andre De Shields (actor, 76) shared his biggest learnings on stage while receiving the Tony Awards recently & this quote was all I needed to here to give myself that positive closure. He said, “Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be”. For me, that released the pressure on deadlines and increased the focus on quality.

We moms are so sensitive about our children & can quickly move from wanting to do it all to getting burnt out & experiencing major mom-guilt when kids get impacted due to our schedule. While it’s rewarding to be a mother, it can get exhausting to play the part 24/7 through the year. I feel you momma! And I want to tell you this today! You are doing a FANTASTIC job! Do what you need to do to find your balance and keep rocking! 💕

I want you to know, you are amazing! You are doing great and you’ve got this!! ❤️}
